    NEW BRUNO INTERVIEW
Posted on 01 Aug 2008 by Laura
Bruno recently did an interview for This Is Hampshire, which has been published today.

In the interview, Bruno discusses Flashdance and reveals that his character is American, therefore meaning that he is having to put his American accent into practice for the duration of the show! When asked how he's getting on with the accent, he says that it's a learning curve and that he is quite delicate with it.

He also discusses how Flashdance is his first foray into musical theatre professionally and that it's a big change for him. He says: "Sometimes I think that was good. Other times I think that was awful. You've got to try and meet yourself in the middle somewhere and try and enjoy it."

And when asked what his next challenge is after Flashdance, he says that he's going to take a break and do some TV and film auditions, hopefully getting some great parts.

You can read the full interview here.

    FIRST FLASHDANCE REVIEW
Posted on 25 Jul 2008 by Laura
It was press night for Flashdance at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth last night - and the first review has been published this morning!

What's On South West is full of praise for the show, describing it as being a "triumph" and as "the hottest musical to hit the stage this year".

But much of the praise is reserved for our very own Bruno. Reviewer Jon Paul Hedge says:

"Bruno Langley as the good-gone-bad Jimmy Kaminsky demonstrated just why this show works.

On he comes with You Can’t Keep Me Down, a fairly run-of-the-mill song, performed in a grey hoodie, to a metallic open backdrop.

But his delivery, with some simply outstanding, fresh and uplifting choreography, totally transformed the scene."

You can read the full review and see some photos from the show here.

In the meantime, there's an interview with Bruno's co star Victoria Hamilton-Barritt on the This Is Plymouth website - in this interview, she talks about the intense audition process and also the possibility of the show coming to the West End. About this possibility, she says: "People are really hoping and expecting it to come to the West End, but we're still waiting to hear.

Here's hoping! Click here to read the full interview.
SORRY FOR THE LACK OF UPDATES!
Posted on 16 Jul 2008 by Laura
Hi everyone, I must apologise for the lack of updates just recently.....unfortunately real life has taken over somewhat, not leaving me enough time to make any updates! sad

There hasn't really been much to report anyway though as I'm sure Bruno has been busy in rehearsals ahead of the opening of Flashdance in Plymouth on Saturday! smile

I'll be making lots of updates to the site soon though, and hopefully adding a bit of a new look as well!

Thanks for your patience smile xx
BRUNO PLAYING A "SINGING CRACK ADDICT"
Posted on 26 Jun 2008 by Laura
In an interview with Loose Women yesterday, Bruno revealed a bit more about his Flashdance character, saying that he is a "singing crack addict"!!

He also revealed that his character Jimmy is a down and out who is always looking for a break and will do anything to pursue his dreams - but it ends in disastrous consequences.

Although we will get to see Bruno sing in the show, it doesn't sound like he will be dancing as well! Bruno says he's terrible at dancing and that if he;s asked to put his right hand up, he'll hold up his left laughing

He also spoke a bit about Coronation Street and why he chose to leave - he said that he wanted to do some theatre and get his training there.

He also spoke about his acting heroes, listing Marlon Brando and Oliver Reed amongst his favourites.

You can watch the interview here.
