Ahead of Flashdance's run in Bournemouth last week, Bruno and his co stars Bernie Nolan and Noel Sullivan took part in a photocall to promote the show.
Three pictures from this photocall have just been published and you can see the results here
Bruno was in Dunham Massey this week to help launch the 'Face on your Egg' competition, which is taking place in conjunction with the National Trust and Cadbury.
The competition will take place as part of the National Trust's Easter Egg Trail at Dunham from 10th-13th April and challenges budding designers to draw their very own Cadbury EggHead.
The winner will then see their design on a Cadbury Easter egg in 2010, and will also win a trip to Cadbury World in Birmingham.
Bruno designed his own Cadbury Egghead to officially launch the competition, and said he was pleased with the results! Speaking to the Altrincham Messenger, he said: "I had such a good time designing my egg and the finished product looks amazing. I really hope families go down to the Easter Egg Trails at Dunham Massey and have a go at designing their own while taking part in the other Easter celebrations."
Bruno also showed off his creation during a special photoshoot - the results of which you can see by clicking below!
The competition and Easter Egg Trail at Dunham is just one of several taking place around the UK and Ireland - click here for more info.
Hopefully Bruno's appearance in Dunham this week means that he's now feeling better and back on stage as Jimmy!
Just to let you know that I've added some pictures to the gallery, which I've been meaning to do so for a while but have only just got round to doing Click on the thumbnail below to see Bruno's latest agency photo, taken last year, and also a number of pictures of Bruno and his Flashdance co stars in Southend last month. I know you will have already seen these pictures already but I like to keep the gallery updated as well
Bruno has been absent from Flashdance since Saturday, due to a throat infection.
His understudy, Aaron Renfree, has been performing the role of Jimmy instead, although it's not yet known whether Bruno will be back on stage tonight or whether Aaron will be taking his place again.
Fingers crossed Bruno is feeling better soon and is back on stage where he belongs
Flashdance arrived in Belfast this week and is receiving more fantastic reviews, with Bruno in particular drawing praise for his "stand-out performance" as Jimmy.
Writing in the Ulster Star, reviewer Stacey Heaney comments that Bruno "showed his wonderful acting skills as the desperate teen, as well as a fine vocal range".
There was recently an interview with Bruno in the Liverpool Echo, which focussed on what he does for holidays.
He says that his first holiday memory is going to France on the ferry when he was about eight, but his holiday from hell happened more recently when he took a trip to Portugal with his girlfriend and their toddler son, Freddie. He says: "It was so hot I didn't sleep properly and we were confined to the hotel from 7pm because we couldn't leave him."
Also recently, Bruno was spotted by the Birmingham Mail "taking time out from his rehearsals at the Hippodrome, where he is starring in Flashdance, to take a stroll down Broad Street". He was apparently enjoying a packet of crisps and some bottled water, if anyone's interested!!
As you know, I've been busily working on some changes to the website and I'm pleased to announce that these changes are now complete! There aren't really any major changes, but I thought it would be useful to list below what I have changed just so to make you all aware of everything
- Firstly, we have a brand new design! I hope you all like it
- We also have a brand new 'Guestbook' page, which I've set up to make it easier for you all to let me know your thoughts/opinions on the website and Bruno etc. So please do click here to let me know what you think - I always enjoy reading all your comments!
- I have got rid of the multimedia page. I know you all love seeing the clips of Bruno in his various projects and being interviewed etc but as Bruno doesn't make too many TV appearances, I thought this page was a bit pointless. However, you can now find many clips of Bruno in the 'Career' section instead. On each page about Bruno's various acting projects, you'll notice a number of headings, including 'clips' and 'related promo'. On some pages, such as the page about 'Life Imitates Art', you'll see that it says 'none available' under these headings because there aren't any clips or promo available to do with that particular project. However, on the page about 'Flashdance the Musical', you'll find the extended trailer for the show and the clip of the show from Children In Need, as well as interviews Bruno has recorded to promote the show, such as Loose Women. Hopefully this will all make sense once you have a look in the career section!
- I have got rid of the reviews page but, don't worry, you can now find the reviews on the appropriate pages in the career section. For example, Coronation Street reviews can be found on the 'Coronation Street' page.
- Instead of a Features page, we now have a 'Fans' page. You can find all the old fan reports here, as well as a new Icons page which features a few Bruno icons you can use on forums etc. Please e-mail me if you have anything to contribute to this page!
- I have archived all of last year's news to the 'News Archive'.
- And, finally, whilst the 'Awards' page is pretty much the same, I have added a couple of TV clips of Bruno at The Celebrity Awards and The National Television Awards at the bottom of the page.
*phew!* I think that's about it but if you have any queries, please do ask!
You may remember a new photo being published in the Echo newspaper recently showing Bruno and three of his Flashdance co stars together in Southend (see news 24/2/09); there were a number of photos taken during the photoshoot, but only one was able to be printed - however, the rest of these photos have now been published online!
You can see the photoshoot in its entirety by clicking here and typing 'Bruno Langley' into the search engine.
These photos are also available for purchase from the above link, costing from £4.95 to £30.00 each depending on the size and the quantity.
