This isn't strictly related to Bruno but I just wanted to apologise for not updating the website with the new things that I have promised on here and on twitter - I was intending to get these added this week but unfortunately I lost someone very dear to me on Saturday so I'm not really in the mood to be online much at the moment. I'll get these updates made as soon as I start feeling a bit better and more myself though.
R.I.P Stephen - you were a wonderful person who will be much missed by Andrew, the Boyz and your family, friends and fans all around the world xxxxxxxxxxx
Just to let you all know that I've got a specific website e-mail address now at info@brunolangleyfans.co.uk. I'm still using my personal email address though so no need to change that for those of you who have that and who I am in regular touch with via email - but I'd like to keep the new one specifically for website "business" so to speak. So, if you have any comments about the website or anything you'd like me to add to the website, or anything website specific really, then please feel free to e-mail me at the new address!
I've just come across a fab pencil drawing of Bruno, which is for sale on ebay as an artwork print.
The print has been drawn from this photo of Bruno (but flipped so that Bruno's head tilts the other way) and is by artist John Sutton. It really is a truly incredible likeness to Bruno!
You can see the drawing here, and also buy it if you fancy having your own personal copy. There's also details of how you can order the print as a canvas or a mouse mat or even a keyring, amongst other things!
You may remember Bruno filming a small part in Brit film Halal Harry a few years ago. Bruno plays the part of London taxi driver Sid and, although the film was screened at a couple of film festivals in the UK, unfortunately it was never actually released.
This looks all set to change soon though as the official Halal Harry website has been slightly revamped - and there's now a banner on there saying that a direct download will be coming soon!
You can visit the official website here - hopefully it won't be too long before the download becomes available
In a new interview this week, Ryan Thomas continues his campaign to get Todd back in Corrie.
In recent weeks, Ryan has made no secret of his desire for Bruno to reprise his role as Todd, even going as far as suggesting him returning to the show's producer at a meeting!
Talking to Inside Soap magazine, Ryan talks about how his character Jason has mellowed over the years - and how Todd has influenced him in this respect. He also reveals that he misses working with Bruno too. He says: "[Jason's] brother Todd really changed his perspective. Finding out Todd was gay was a massive turning point for Jason, and he became less of an oaf. It'd be great to bring Todd back. He and Jason had such a great dynamic because they're total opposites. I miss working with Bruno Langley (Todd), too, so that would be an added bonus."
You can read the article here, and also see a cute picture of a young-looking Bruno and Ryan!
I was just doing some random googling and came across a review of Flashdance from April, which relates to the Ipswich run of the tour. Bruno, once again, gets a good review, with the reviewer commenting how he "brings his trademark angst from the cobbles of Coronation Street to Pittsburgh" - yes, Bruno is certainly fab at portraying angst-ridden characters! You can read the review in full here. I've also updated the Flashdance page with this review as well.
In the meantime, it looks like the Flashdance ball is back rolling again, according to this post on Victoria Hamilton-Barritt's official page on twitter! It would be fab to see Bruno performing in the show again but also understandable if he wants to do something else after doing the show for almost a year! So I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Bruno wants to do next
By the way, I'll hopefully be making some new additions to the website soon...nothing major, but just some bits and pieces so I can keep the website regularly updated during the days when we are waiting for Bruno to announce his next project, so make sure you stay tuned!
As you can probably see, I've just created a new design for the website - I thought it made sense to update it with the most recent Bruno picture we have, so I hope you like it!
I've also changed the layout very slightly, as you can probably see - it's now a 3 column layout, as this allows me to add more information down the right hand side and left hand side of the page. If you look to the left hand side, you'll be able to see links where you can buy DVDs of Bruno's acting performances. And also, there are some new additions at the top (under the banner), which are fairly self explanatory!
Following on from yesterday's article about Ryan Thomas being keen for Bruno to return to Corrie, the man himself has now given his thoughts on this idea!
FemaleFirst quotes Bruno as saying: "I miss playing Todd and I think it would be fun to see how living in London has changed him, and if he can fit back into a smaller community."
Ryan has also added more thoughts on the possibility of Todd returning, even suggesting a possible romance storyline for him. He says: "I'd love to see Todd back in Weatherfield. I can definitely see it happening soon - hopefully before the end of the year. Maybe he'll get together with Sean!"
You can read the full article from FemaleFirst here.
Another article has been published about Ryan Thomas' desire for Bruno to reprise his role as Todd Grimshaw in Coronation Street.
Digital Spy has today rehashed an article based around the comments made in the interview they did with Ryan a couple of weeks ago - although it's unclear why they are rehashing this now!
The article also includes some background info on Todd's character and a comment by Corrie producer Kieran Roberts, where he says that he was "very impressed" by Bruno's brief reprisal of the character in 2007!
In an interview with Digital Spy today, Bruno's former Corrie co star Ryan Thomas talks about his hopes that Bruno might reprise his role as Todd Grimshaw one day.
Interviewer Kris Green comments on the "great dynamic" Todd has with his brother Jason, played by Ryan, and asks whether he'd like to see Bruno back again. Ryan replies by saying: "I really do hope so. We were just talking about that before. I did mention it to Kim [Crowther] at a meeting to see if there was any chance, but I just don't think the time's right for Todd to be back yet. But eventually, fingers crossed, he'll return."
It's nice to know that Bruno and Todd are still very highly thought of on the Corrie set!
