"Love Can Do Crazy Things To You!"
Gorgeous Bruno Langley - Corrie's Todd Grimshaw - loves on-screen snogging and thinks his character should have a fling with... Mike Baldwin!
Todd's just quit his A levels to move in with Sarah. What the heck made him decide to stay in Weatherfield?! "Todd's never had a proper family. There were always different dads coming and going, so I think he wants to make a family of his own with Sarah and Bethany (Sarah's baby daughter)."
But how come he doesn't want to go to university and snog loads of posh girls? "He's obsessive about this idea of having a family. But it's a young age to be doing that sort of stuff and he doesn't realise what it's going to be like - it's such a massive commitment."
Would you ever give anything up - like your career or college - for true love, like Todd has done for Sarah? "Yeah, I've thought about it. If people are going to do drastic things like that, then often it's because of love. Love can do crazy things to you."
Corrie's filmed up in Manchester. Are there loads of celeb hangouts there like in London? "Yeah, there are bars that are associated with footballers, but I don't tend to go to those places."
So do you get to see much of your Corrie mates when you're not on set? "Well, I live with Ryan so we see each other every bloody day! We share a flat - it's a bit of a messy bachelor pad. There's always one rotten apple in the fridge!"
You've had loads of tongue sarnie action in Corrie lately! What are your top tips for a good screen snog? "You've got to go for it! If your character's meant to be confident at kissing, then you've just got to go for it."
How, er, 'real' are Todd's screen snogs, then? "You should act things out like you do them in real life - as if it's real. Well, up to a certain point! So, if you're gonna kiss, use tongues because it'll feel more real. It makes it look more believable and you yourself believe it more. If you don't kiss like you do in real life, then it's like working with fake props."
But not everyone snogs like a pro, Bruno! "Yeah, well, if it's the first kiss between a couple, and you're nervous, that's OK, 'cos you would be a bit awkward in real life too."
