Dr Who's Bruno: I Had Dalek Nightmares
Former Corrie star Bruno Langley has the unenviable task of battling the Daleks in the new Dr Who series.
And he admits that fighting the Doctor's mortal enemies left him a little shaken.
"The Dalek's gave me nightmares when I went to bed after filming all day. I dreamed of them chasing me through corridors. It's that standard dream where you can't escape," he says.
New Dr Who star Bruno Langley, 22, gets to poke fun at the evil Daleks.
His character Adam tells Rose, played by Billie Piper: "They are masters of the universe and they can't even go upstairs." Then, instead of saying "EX-TER-MIN-ATE," the Dalek lights some boosters and says: "EL-E-VATE."
"It's the biggest gag in the series because the Daleks don't go up stairs and I get the line," says Bruno.
Bruno Langley's character Adam joins the Dr Who adventure in 2050 at a new year's party, where he meets the Time Lord's sidekick Rose (Billie Piper).
Bruno says: "They are attracted to each other- there's a thing between them."
After his two-part Doctor Who adventure he gets dropped off iin Nottingham. "If they travel there again, he'll reappear. Hopefully I'll appear in the second series," he says.
Former Coronation Street star Bruno Langley, who played tormented gay teen Todd, says he has no regrets about leaving the Street.
"I definitely left Corrie at the right time but I miss the others so much. I didn't think it would," he says.
"But I've had so much more of a social life since leaving. You don't have that constant scrutiny. I've had a great time. No regrets."
Actor Bruno Langley made TV history when he was involved in the first gay kiss on Coronation Street- a show that has been on air for 45 years.
But he's had enough of TV for the moment and is looking forward to getting back to his roots.
"I'm going to do some theatre now. I've had some big jobs and I need to get some groundwork in this summer. Doing theatre will help me no end," he says.
Dr Who star Bruno Langley is confident that the hit sci-fi show will continue to bring in big audiences for the BBC.
"I reckon it'll blow the opposition out of the water. The production values are like a film. There are 13 episodes and it's like 13 films," he says.
"My character gets in the way of things and mucks everything up- he's not a nice guy."
