London 2006. The West End is on its knees, can a controversial new play shock it back in to life? For actress Nancy it’s the chance to re-launch her career and for star Tom Bates it’s a chance to seduce Nancy. For her mental health she knows she must resist such a dangerous man but how can she disentangle her own desires from those projected on to her?
Is she living the dream of true love, career success and sexual liberation or is she caught in a lie of half-truths, brutality and betrayal thinly veiled as sexual decadence?
The play also brings an old family friend in to her life which prompts the revelation of a dark secret that may provide the answers to the cause of her sexual psychosis. Will it save her or push her over the edge?
A dark look at modern morality or lack of it in Theatreland.

Bruno's Role
Bruno aptly describes Life Imitates Art as being a “love square”, with the only female character, Nancy, having sexual relations with all three of the male characters.
Bruno played the part of Nathan, an aspiring actor currently working as a barman. He becomes sexually involved with Nancy after being seduced by her, but things start to get complicated when he realises that her boyfriend likes watching them together.
The play was performed at the Camden People's Theatre in March 2006 and marked Bruno's fringe theatre debut. Bruno has since commented how hard fringe theatre is as you're not guaranteed audiences, so this was perhaps one of Bruno’s most challenging roles to date.
